Prof Efigenia Semente is the Executive Dean of the Faculty of Commerce, Human Sciences and Education at the Namibia University of Science and Technology (NUST). She is a strategic leader with an executive portfolio and a teaching career in higher education spanning over 20 years.

She is an Associate Professor in academic raking. She holds a Doctorate degree in Business Administration from the University of Namibia. She holds two master’s degrees from renown universities in the UK (Hariot Watt University and University of Bedfordshire); a MSc in Marketing and a master’s in business administration (MBA).In addition, she completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education (PGCHE) at NUST and a Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing from Hariot Watt University in Uk.Prof Semente holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Marketing (UNISA), a Diploma in Marketing (NUST). She has obtained certification in Innovation & Strategic Management as well as several other certifications ranging from ICT, Graphic Design to Research Supervision Capacity at Post Graduate level. Prof Semente is an educationalist, Entrepreneur, and a strategic management expert.Among her areas of expertise include Marketing and Digitalization, Sustainable (Green) Business Models, Product Development, Innovation, New Venture Creation and Entrepreneurship, Consumer Behaviour, Services, Customer Care & Relationship Management, Financial Management, Supply Chain Management, Project Management, Fundraising, Strategic Management and Higher Education Practice and Management. Prof Semente played a critical role in the formation of the Marketing Association of Namibia (MAN); she has contributed significantly to the expansion of the Marketing and Entrepreneurship fields in Namibia through training, curriculum development and industry collaboration. She spearheads Technical Vocation Education Training (TVET) expansion through programme development, accreditation, and promotion of TVET as a key Faculty focal area. She serves as editorial board member of the Namibia Educational Reform Forum Journal since 2022. Prof Semente is an avid researcher and has published vastly in peer reviewed journals.She has supervised and examined several postgraduate students including master’s and PhDs.
